Adams Rite 4513-16-IB 4513 Standard Duty Deadlatch Body Only, Zinc Plated

The 4510 Series Standard Duty Deadlatch offers adaptable traffic control, both during and after business hours. Functionally, it allows for two-way traffic in settings like healthcare, finance, and retail, where free entrance is needed at certain times and exit-only at others. Retaining the bolt is achieved by reversing the key's turn while the bolt is held retracted. These deadlatches can be interchanged with any MS1850S Deadlock of the same backset and faceplate shape, but they don't provide the same peak security level. Operation involves turning the key, handle, or paddle to retract the spring-loaded latchbolt. To keep the bolt retracted, push it in and secure it with a reverse key turn. The lock is compatible with standard mortise cylinders featuring an MS cam, available separately. It accepts cylinders of standard 1" length and 1-5/32" diameter with an MS cam, such as the 4036 Mortise Cylinder or 4066 Thumbturn. Cylinders can be inserted from either or both sides.
